Based on master-piece's classic series "link," the 4th installment of the collaboration series has arrived, featuring fabric boldly incorporating the boro (tattered patchwork) and denim patchwork pattern that is iconic to "FDMTL" (Fundamental).

The fabric used is a nylon twill with 320d warp and weft threads, treated with a special process called KONBU®by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd., onto which FDMTL's original boro and denim patchwork design has been printed using the same company's special MONALISA® technology.

Despite having enough rigidity to stand on its own and strong tear resistance, it's surprisingly light when held, resulting in a stress-free bag to use.

This one-of-a-kind collaboration series merges master-piece's signature combination of various contrasting materials with FDMTL's richly expressive design, embodying FDMTL's concept of "products that grow more beloved the more they are worn" in a new form.

Product Description

The main fabric is a 320d warp and weft nylon twill treated with a special process by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd. called KONBU®-N, giving it a supple yet rigid quality strong enough to stand on its own. This special fabric's most distinctive feature is its dry, tightly-knit texture reminiscent of kombu seaweed. Onto this fabric, FDMTL's (Fundamental's) original boro and denim patchwork design is rendered using Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd.'s MONALISA® technology—an original fabric expressed through vivid digital printing made possible by a rich palette of 16.7 million colors and the advanced technology that controls them.

MONALISA® is an environmentally conscious material that eliminates unnecessary dyes and chemicals, significantly reducing the water, resources, and energy required for processing compared to conventional methods.

The accompanying fabric combines INVISTA's 1000d CORDURA® nylon and 1680d CORDURA Ballistic® nylon, which offer approximately 5 times the abrasion resistance, tear strength, and durability of regular nylon.
The accompanying leather is a 1.8mm-thick eco nume cow leather (certified NISSENKEN ECO-TEX Standard 100), tanned with 100% vegetable tannins and free of any chemicals, dyes, or other substances harmful to the human body—including hexavalent chromium—that could contribute to environmental pollution.

This is a collaboration series that combines a printed fabric—which achieves a level of clarity surpassing conventional printing techniques through the advanced processing technologies of KONBU®-N and MONALISA®—featuring the boro and denim patchwork pattern iconic to FDMTL, with master-piece's signature combination of diverse materials.

The accompanying leather uses no pigments or dyes whatsoever and features an undyed finish that showcases the leather's natural texture. As a result, slight color unevenness or individual variation may be visible. Additionally, due to the nature of undyed leather, discoloration and fading over time cannot be avoided. Exposure to rain or water may cause stains or discoloration, so if the leather gets wet, please wipe away moisture promptly.
