Founded in 2005FDMTL (Fundamental)is a Tokyo-based brand that focuses on world-class Japan-made denim, without making any compromises, and develops products with attention to detail that cannot be imitated by mass production. It features details that cannot be imitated through mass production, such as the faded indigo color that changes its appearance depending on the wearer's body shape and habits, and the denim that is created with each piece based on the concept of a person, place, or era. The concept behind this product is ``a product that you grow fond of the more you wear it.''

Fabric
The main body fabric is a plain-woven fabric made from pre-consumer recycled nylon yarn made from recycled waste generated during the manufacturing process, which is specially processed by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd.'s KONBU ®. It is characterized by being hard enough to stand on its own and strong enough to withstand tearing, yet surprisingly light when held in your hand.
"FDMTL" (Fundamental)'s iconic lintel/denim patchwork pattern is expressed using "Mona Lisa®" from Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd. Clear digital printing with a rich color count of 16.7 million colors and advanced technology to control it achieves clarity that exceeds that of traditional printing processes.
Material
The attached fabric uses a combination of INVISTA's 1000D Cordura® nylon and 1680D Cordura Ballistic® nylon, which have approximately 5 times the wear and tear strength and durability of regular nylon. The supplied leather is made of 1.8mm thick eco-numerous cow leather (NISSENKEN Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified) that is tanned with 100% vegetable tanned without using any substances harmful to the human body such as hexavalent chromium. Because it has a bare finish with no surface treatment, you can enjoy the color and luster that will deepen over time as you use it.
